Tips How To Make Your E-Book Scream READ ME!

One important component is to make proper cover to attract the attention of website browsers or on shelves.

Have you seen mini sites that sell e-Books online?. If you decided to buy the e-Book, it did not come in that cover; you just simply got a PDF file that you click on to read.

That simple graphic image will help to reel people in initially, and that’s why it is useful to create a professional e-Book cover, as it can increase sales substantially. Some covers look like boxes standing on end with the lid open. Some appear to be books stood on end with the pages riffled open.

011_036Whatever e-Book cover you choose, make sure its reflecting your product well. For example, if your e-Book is only going to be twenty pages long you probably would not go for the box version because it does give the impression of a bigger product. Never deceive your customer by trying to make the product look a lot bigger than it actually is.

You don’t need to be a great graphic designer, and you don’t need to get your credit card out to pay for an expensive e-Book cover program either. Simple search for free e-Book covers using your favorite search engine and you will find plenty of do it yourself freeware products for tight budgets.

While the free e-Book covers you’ll find online are usually limited versions (you need to pay for the software to be able to design something totally very nice and unique), many of them are suitable to different types of e-Books. For example, I spotted a good one while writing this section which depicted a stack of coins on the cover; now that could be used for any titles on making money or saving money – maybe even winning money.

Once again we will be delving into this subject in a little more depth later on, so keep reading to find out all you need to know about getting a great e-Book published and selling!

There is nothing worse than seeing a great sales page which has obviously been very well thought out, being convinced that this e-Book is for you, buying it… and then being sent a half hearted and very basic book that does not really do itself justice. The content might be great… but seeing as it does not take very long to put something together that really looks the part and is very professional, you would be missing out if you did not go the whole hog and do your book justice.

It’s important to recognize that there is a difference between the book that you write and the book that you sell when it comes to presentation. Now that difference may be very slight – for example, you might only change the typeface and increase the size of the lettering used for headings and subheadings – but even these changes can make all the difference between something that looks like a manuscript and something that looks like a professionally laid out book. You could also put a border around the edges of each page to keep the eye firmly focused on the information you are giving people.

So take time and make sure the finished product really meets up to expectations. Some people skip this step, thinking that it does not matter because when people read what they have to offer they will already have made their sale… but that is missing the point entirely because you presumably want these same people to be impressed with your professional efforts and encourage them to come back and buy more e-Books from you again in the future. Reputation equals future sales in this game.

The moral of this story is that you should make sure that the product you created is as eye catching and professional as it possibly can be.
